My name is Josef Ginting and I live in the small village of Bukit Lawang, Sumatra. I am a certified and registered tourguide and have been guiding my clients through the well known Gunung Leuser National Parkand since 2010. 

I am passionate about showing the visitors the native animals in the wild as well as sharing my experience. 

I am born in Bukit Lawang and thats why I want to not only help travelers to explore my beautiful home country, but also help the locals and the environment by introducing the concept of ecotourism. I think ecotourism connects the wants of travelers, local people and the environment at the same time, because you have to help the inhabitants first in order to make them help the nature. 

With this website I want to get to guide more people through the jungle to earn more money which I can give to citizens of my village so in the end they will help me to protect the environment.
